Ducati MH 900E by WalzWerk Racing
"Making a rare bike even more rare" or "The real Mike Hailwood tribute bike" could be the headliner of this special project. It started with a almost new MH900e, #586 of 2000 ever built. We took the bike apart and brought the frame and the engine to SC-Project in Milan, so they can manufacture a one-off exhaust system. Coming back from Milan, the bike get a complete Wilbers suspension upgrade front and rear. The motor is slightly modified with some Ducati performance cams, a DucaBike slipper clutch, racing air filter and a matching mapping.
Another component which comes from DucaBike are the beautiful machined rear sets and the hydraulic clutch actuator. Some genuine Ducati Pantah cam covers from the 70's, modified to fit the modern 2V engine, bring some vintage touch to the engine. The chain drive is now a 520 racing chain with a SuperSport sprocket and a quick change sprocket carrier. The wheels are powder coated in a genuine BBS gold from the racing cars of the 70's and they are wrapped with some Pirelli Supercorsa tires.
A massive weight saving of almost 7kg was achieved by replacing the two stock batteries with a single lithium battery with a special manufactured aluminum case & bracket. Last but not least, the whole bodywork was painted in a style like the world famous Ducati TT1 race bikes. To complete the perfect mix of modern and classic elements, some carbon covers here and there were added.
Here is a short list of the changes and conversions:
